Silly Moo Cider’s name came about as their cows go a little bit silly when they get the chance to devour the left over apple pomace!
Silly Moo is an unusually civilised farmhouse cider, made on their Sussex farm by Rachel and Andrew. It is a marriage of East coast and West Country cider styles as they blend their fully fermented cider with more apple juice to balance it.
Silly Moo Cider is made once a year in the autumn, which mean that every year the cider is slightly different. Reflecting the terroir – its soils, the year’s weather and the amazing variety of apples they source.
Their orchard has over nineteen varieties of traditional cider apple trees – bittersweet, sharp and bittersharp apples, all planted in 2012. These are blended with apples sourced from English orchards and the gardens of Sussex, which are brought to our Trenchmore Farm in the Autumn to be swapped for cider.
Silly Moo Cider is all vegan and gluten free.

This is the first cider we made at Trenchmore and we haven’t changed it much since 2015.
Still pure juice, still filtered for freshness and still brings all the cows to the yard. Lightly sparkling.

Silly Moo REPO Cider
A one-off batch of keeved cider.
Keeving is a traditionally French process of making cider, by arresting the fermentation before it’s finished. This leaves a delicious natural sweetness and rich apple flavour.
Lightly sparkling, full-bodied and 7.2% abv.
We’re currently offering 2 free glasses with every case of REPO cider. Please ask when you collect.
